Refunds and buying chapters

The books of The Five Wounds can be read on this site, chapter by chapter, for a small price. This page says exactly what you pay, what you get, and what happens if something goes wrong.

The Hindi books are sold on their own, and are never part of a membership pass: a reader pays only for what they choose to read.

The price shown on the button is the whole price. Nothing is added at checkout. Payment is by UPI, through Razorpay; this site never sees your UPI ID or bank details.
How you get it
There is nothing to ship. The chapter opens on the page the moment the payment goes through, and stays open in that browser. To open it on another phone, computer or browser, or after clearing your browser's data, choose Paid already on any locked chapter and type your payment ID. It starts with pay_ and is in the message or email Razorpay sends you.
Refunds
- If you paid and a chapter did not open, were charged twice, or were charged the wrong amount, write to manuvishranti@gmail.com with your payment ID. Within 7 days you get the chapter or a full refund, whichever you prefer.
- If something was wrong with a chapter you bought, such as missing text, write and it will be put right or refunded.
- Once a chapter has opened for you, the purchase is complete. Like a book that has been read, it cannot be returned for a change of mind.
- A membership pass starts when it is paid for (or, if you buy it while another pass is on, when that one ends) and runs for its full days. It is not refunded for days left unread, and it never renews or charges you again by itself. When it ends, what you bought and the book you kept with a Year pass stay open.
- Refunds go back to the account you paid from, through Razorpay, usually within 5 to 7 working days of being approved.
- If money left your account but the payment failed, your bank returns it on its own, usually within a few working days. If it does not, write with the details.
Cancelling
Until you finish paying, you can close the payment window at any time and nothing is charged.
Complaints and the grievance officer
The grievance officer is Manav Sharma, manuvishranti@gmail.com, 557, B/5, Garhi Cantonment, Dehradun, Uttarakhand 248003, India. Every complaint is acknowledged within 48 hours and resolved within one month, as India's Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 require. You can also contact the National Consumer Helpline on 1915 or at consumerhelpline.gov.in.
Law
Purchases are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Dehradun, Uttarakhand have jurisdiction, without taking away any protection the law of your own country gives you as a consumer. See also the terms of use and the privacy policy.
